Common Questions

Frequently Asked

Questions

Do I need a lawyer?

No. Not to complete these documents. Most adults can legally complete their estate planning documents without hiring an attorney. Our role is to help you gather your information, complete your forms accurately, and ensure everything is properly signed and notarized.

How long does the process take?

Most clients complete everything in one appointment, typically 45-60 minutes. Because we prepare all five documents during your session, you leave with everything finalized, signed and notarized.

If you prefer a virtual appointment, the timeline is the same.

Are these documents legally valid?

Yes. We use state-specific, legally recognized forms that meet each state requirements for:

Last Will & Testament

Medical Power of Attorney

Durable (Financial) Power of Attorney

Living Will (Treatment Preferences)

Final Disposition Authorization

Once properly completed and notarized, these documents are legally valid and enforceable.

Can this be done remotely?

Absolutely. We offer virtual appointments for clients who prefer to complete the process virtually. Texas allows remote notarization, so your entire process can be completed online.

Do you have a recommended funeral home?

Yes. We recommend Allen Davis Funeral Home known for professionalism, compassion, and transparent pricing. Contact information 713.480.2966.
